If you run into any issue while creating an audience, feel free to reach out using the chat.
Before sending DMs, you need to define who you want to contact.
In Wave, creating an audience happens in three steps:
Choose a target
Apply filters (optional)
Preview and adjust the audience (optional)
🎯 Choose your target
Wave offers several ways to build an audience, depending on your strategy :
Followers → scrape recent followers from one or multiple accounts.
Posts → get users who liked or commented on specific post(s)
Keywords → scrape users who posted using specific keyword(s)
Hashtags → scrape users who posted using specific hashtag(s)
Mentions → scrape users who mentioned specific account(s)
Manual / CSV → add users by pasting usernames or uploading a CSV file (using the template)
🔍 Apply filters
Filters help you focus on active and relevant profiles for your business. You can filter users based on :
Number of Followers → set a minimum or maximum follower count
Number of Posts → keep users who posted at least (or at most) a certain number of times
Keywords → include or exclude users based on keywords in their bio
Profile Picture → keep only users with a profile picture to remove bots or inactive accounts
Account Type → Business, Personal or Both
💡 The more filters you apply, the smaller the final audience will be.
👀 Preview & edit your audience
Before using an audience, you can preview all retrieved profiles to make sure they’re relevant. You can also remove users manually if needed.
In this step, you can also add an “Icebreaker” for each user to personalize your DMs.
💡 Scraping an audience usually takes less than 5 minutes. Once the audience is fetched, you’ll be able to preview and edit it.
→ During the scraping phase, you can already start writing your sequence.
👉 What’s next
Once your audience is ready, you can move on to writing your first sequence and launching your campaign.
If anything is unclear, feel free to ask in the chat.
