Wave is designed to be safe by default, and multiple safeguards are built directly into the product.

This article focuses on how to use Wave properly to further reduce risks and get better results.
🎯 Build highly targeted audiences
Wave is designed for targeted outreach, not mass spam.
We strongly recommend:
spending time building relevant audiences
targeting users who already show interest
avoiding very broad or random targeting
Highly targeted audiences lead to:
better reply rates
fewer ignored messages
safer usage overall
💬 Send relevant, human messages
Message quality matters.
Keep DMs short and natural
Avoid copy-paste, generic messages
Use variables and icebreakers to personalize
Avoid links in your sequences
The more relevant your messages are, the safer and more effective your outreach will be.

📩 Control the number of new DMs per day
For new or recently connected accounts:
start conservatively, we recommend 25–30 new DMs / day maximum
increase only after a few weeks of stable activity
Remember: follow-ups are sent in addition to new DMs.
🗓️ Use realistic working days & hours
To stay natural:
keep at least one day off per week
avoid sending all DMs in a very short time window
use wider working hours instead of tight schedules
This mimics real human behavior.
🚫 Exclude already contacted users
When launching a campaign, we recommend enabling : Exclude already contacted users.
This:
avoids sending duplicate messages
prevents unnecessary outreach
keeps your account from looking spammy
